At 09:50 hrs, we arrived a the Nilkheim sport field. Abe Baum was most surprised to see a formation of soldies in WWII uniforms standing in attention. Martin Heinlein reported the formation ready for inspection. Also a lot of civilians came to meet Abe Baum including TV, Radio and Press. We gave a short briefing and told the men what to expect the next two days.

After the instruction we mount the vehicles and moved out. Martin Heinlein took the lead, followed by me with Abe Baum, then the Halftrack and the other Jeeps. Driving through a city in a convoy with crossroads and traffic lights, could be a real nightmare. But on this Saturday we had all the luck, the convoy was never cut in pieces. It took us about 20 minutes to make it throhg Aschaffenburg.
